Along with high humidity, there is almost 40% chance of rainfall in Singapore any time of the day. However, the island usually experiences around 8-9 hours of sunshine during the day, between the clouds and raindrops which are good enough for sightseeing around Singapore.

Average Daily Temperature: Around 31 and 25 degrees Celsius
Average Rainfall: 157mm
Humidity levels: Above 82%

The dress code for RehabWeek 2023 is business casual for all occasions unless stated otherwise.

Language
The official language of the RehabWeek is English.

Singapore Standard Time (SST), also known asSingapore Time(SGT), is used in Singaporeand is 8 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+8)

Letter of Invitation
The Congress Organizer will send you a letter of invitation upon request. The Organizing Committee would like to clearly state that the letter is to help the participant to raise travel funds and visa purposes. It has no further financial obligations from the Conference towards the participant. The Congress Secretariat is only able to send you the letter of invitation after receipt of your registration and payment.

Electricity
In Singapore, the power plugs and sockets are of type G. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.

Currency & Exchnage
The Singaporean currency is the Singapore dollar, symbolized SGD, S$ or just $ divided into 100 cents.

There are coins of $0.05 (gold), $0.10 (silver), $0.20 (silver), $0.50 (silver) and $1 (gold), plus notes of $2 (purple), $5 (green), $10 (red), $50 (blue), $100 (orange), $1000 (purple) and $10000 (gold).

ATMs are ubiquitous in Singapore and credit cards are widely accepted. Traveler's cheques are generally not accepted by retailers but can be cashed at most exchange booths. eZ-Link and Nets Flash Pay cards are accepted in some convenience stores and fast food chains.

Currency exchange booths can be found in every shopping mall and usually offer better rates, better opening hours and much faster service than banks.

Tax
Goods and services tax (GST), where applicable, is required by law to be included in the listed price of goods except for major hotels and some restaurants. The "++" after the prices (e.g. 10$++) means that service charge (10%) and GST (7%) are not yet included in the listed price and will be added to your bill later. When you see NETT, it means it includes all taxes and service charges.

Tipping
It is generally not practiced in Singapore, and is officially frowned upon by the government, although bellhops still expect $2 or so per bag. Taxis will usually return your change to the last cent, or round in your favor if they can't be bothered to dig for change.

Liability & Insurance
The Congress Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Upon registration, participants agree that neither the Organizing Committee nor the Congress Secretariat assumes any liability.
Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

Safety & Security
Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

In any emergency call 999 and ask for ambulance, fire or police when connected.
